Cooooool Ice Cube Trays

Who needs those ugly unoriginal square ice cube trays when you can find trays as cool as these Frozen Smiles trays? Why wouldn’t you want to have denture shapes ice cubes? Your grandparents will love them!

There are so many ice cube trays out there now. Within the last year it seems like it has become really popular to have wacky ice cubes. I’m sure they are great for entertaining and parties…especially when you see some of the ones that I have discovered online.

If you have kids who will be moving into their own places anytime soon, buy them something funny like this for their kitchen! I already have some of these on my shopping lists for presents. I always have to bookmark stuff like this to save for birthdays and upcoming events so I don’t forget about it later!

Unique Converse Low Tops

Converse has been around longer than I personally ever realized. I have been a loverof converse for a long time and they consistently make shoes I find myself trying to restrain myself not too buy…I mean do I really need more than two pairs of shoes? Probably not. It’s hard to not want to buy everyone you see though, especially with how unique some of the pairs they come out with are!

The History of Converse:

1908–1941: Early days and Chuck Taylor

In his late 30s, Marquis M. Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company (also known as the Boston Rubber Shoe Company) in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing 4,000 shoes daily, but it wasn’t until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company’s main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. or “Chuck” Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job. He worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1923 his signature was added to the All Star patch. He tirelessly continued this work until shortly before his death in 1969. Converse also customized shoes for the New York Renaissance (the “Rens”), basketball’s first all African American pro basketball team.

Looking for an Adventure? Schedule a Hot Air Balloon Flight!

Whether you are looking to try something exciting and new or just overcome that awful fear of heights, a hot air balloon flight is an exhilarating experience you will never forget!

Witness the beauty of the place you call home, except from above! Don’t worry, this is nothing like the view you see from your seat in a commercial airplane. No crying babies either! You will find that you are offered a quiet, relaxing, private experience, with anywhere from 2 to 4 people on each trip! Of course you get to choose your package and the amount of people you would like to accompany you, so no worries about being grouped up with people you have never met!

Find the Perfect Anniversary Gift Basket!

Anniversaries are not always the easiest occasion to shop for. Sometimes it can be hard to find the “perfect” gift or put together a memorable night that doesn’t destroy your budget. If you think about it, the cost of a romantic dinner for 2, tickets to an event, whether it is a midnight movie or a Broadway show, plus any other sentimental gifts, can easily run you a few hundred dollars if not more.

Gift baskets can help you reduce that cost. Everything you need comes in an affordable bundle. The great thing is, you don’t have to just hand over your basket as a bundled gift… “Here you go honey, It’s incredibly thoughful I know! I put days and nights into choosing this lovely basket just for you!” :-) Yes I can read minds sometimes, gift baskets can be considered tacky!

Motorized Cooler: A Tailgating Party Must

No tailgate is complete without it’s very own motorized cooler! This handy invention works for many things. At first look I saw this and thought, “This is totally a gift for a man” and a damn good one at that! I think any guy would drool over this. I mean sure it could be considered lazy…but I like to think of it as time saving and efficient :) Yes it would definitely be great for beers and not having to keep walking to your car or campsite to get drinks from your cooler is amazingly great.

Top 10 Valentines Gifts For Him

Men are a little easier then women on this holiday, I don’t think they really expect roses and candies and all of that good stuff in return like women. It’s still nice to find them something incredible to show them how much we absolutely adore them, even if after 5 years he still leaves the toilet seat up and blames the dog for your favorite broken vase after his rowdy Superbowl party :)

10. Heart Shaped Coasters

Does your husband tend to forget he’s not supposed to put his cold drink on your nice, expensive coffee table, at least until he notices there’s a lovely, discolored ring forming? (Then blames it on the kids :)  just kidding) This is more of a gag gift but funny all the same! If anything it is definitely festive!

Buy This!

Top 10 Unique Valentines Gifts For Her

Struggling on what to get her for Valentines Day? Are you trying to go beyond the predictable chocolates, flowers, candies and jewelry? Not so fond of cute cuddly little teddy bears? True a lot of women do like to receive these type of things on Valentines Day, but why not mix it up a little? There are plenty of romantic things you can get that are unique and show that you spent time trying to find something special, rather than something generic and over rated.

10. Harvest Your Own Pearl Kit

Instead of buying her jewelry, at least the kind that everyone buys, why not give her the experience of creating her very own. This kit comes complete with everything you need to create real and stunning pearl jewelry. In the can you will find an oyster which is preserved in a special liquid. You will also find a lovely necklace which is missing a pearl! Convenient I know! Simply pop open the oyster and you will find a beautiful pearl of one of the following colors: peach, gold, white, lavender or cream. Simply place the pearl in the necklace and their you have it! Completely original, possibly a little gross when you pull apart the oyster, but nothing different from eating at your favorite seafood restaurant! If you know she won’t be too thrilled about pulling apart an oyster, try our Jewelry section in the Shopping Directory, it is full of different online jewelry stores for you to browse!

Sushi Gift Ideas for Sushi Lovers

In Japanese cuisine, sushi is vinegared rice, usually topped with other ingredients, including fish, various meats, and vegetables. Outside of Japan, sushi is sometimes misunderstood to mean the raw fish itself, or even any fresh raw-seafood dishes. In Japan, sliced raw fish alone is called sashimi and is distinct from sushi, as sashimi is the raw fish component, not the rice component. The word sushi itself comes from an archaic grammatical form of a word that is no longer used in other contexts; literally, “sushi” means “it’s sour”.

Sushi themed products are making their way everywhere. It may be the incredibly eye capturing design of how Sushi looks. Possibly it just is the taste of seaweed, rice and raw fish all in one adorable bundle of fishy happiness. Whatever it may be, here are some great gifts for your Sushi crazed friends :-)

What the heck is a “Love Sac”?

Don’t worry, this post is completely “G” Rated! :-) A Love Sac does tend to sound like something dirty, however it is the greatest invention since…well…anything! It may look somewhat like a beanbag to you, but it is far from it.

When you buy a Love Sac, you get 2 different things, a Designer Cover of your choice and Durafoam Inserts. The Sac Insert is a double-stitched khaki insert filled with shredded DuraFoam, not beads or beans like the bags of yesterday. DuraFoam filled Sac Inserts never go flat, break, or leak…ever. The DuraFoam-filled Sac Insert comes with the “Forever Love” Sac Guarantee and is guaranteed for two lifetimes. And best of all, Sac Inserts are shrunken down for easy shipping and then they expand to their natural fluffiness.

Daily Finds – A new way to find unique gifts!

I’ve decided to add something new to UGF. On my right sidebar underneath “Recent Posts” you will find the Daily Finds box. Here I will update every day with a new product or gift I have found online, unless for some reason I am not able to make it to my computer, that doesn’t really happen, I’m a nerd :)

I have also decided to create a “Daily Finds Archive” which will feature every product I have listed in the Daily Finds box starting with the most recent. You can find the archive at the top of the page located in the tabs. Obviously right now, this is new so their is only 1 thing there, however after a year there will be 365 different gifts!

Where can I find unique fish bowls?

Although the fish bowl in the picture to the left is stunning and definitely the most original fishbowl I have ever seen, not in a million years would I ever pay the amount it is selling for, not even if I was a billionaire and it was considered chump change.

This Steuben Glass limited edition fish bowl, a total of 50 exist, is a whopping $25,000! Yes, there is supposed to be three zeros on that! If I had $25,000 dollars just lying around, I would probably donate it to an animal shelter instead of my five dollar beta, because honestly, I highly doubt he knows the difference between the Steuben Glass bowl and the $25 bowl I found online.
