So, you’ve finally reached the pinnacle of sophistication: struggling to open a bottle of wine. Fear not, because this fancy Secura Electric Wine Opener gadget promises to revolutionize your entire wine-drinking experience.
Press a button and voila! You’re basically a sommelier now, except instead of actually knowing anything about wine, you have a glorified electric corkscrew that can open a whopping 30 bottles (who needs friends anyway?).
It’s “small”, which means you can conveniently store it next to your wine fridge, because who needs counter space for actual wine glasses?
And it makes a great gift! Because nothing says “I care about you” like a fancy wine opener that will probably break after a few uses.
Don’t forget to charge it every three months, because apparently this thing is more high-maintenance than a toddler.
And hey, it comes with a “friendly” customer service team! Because the last thing you want is to have a non-working wine opener and actually have to talk to someone about it.

Bought this for my parents, as they struggle with a regular wine opener – they’re delighted with it, and say it feels weighty and works perfectly.

I bought this on Nov. 2020, after hand surgery left me temporarily unable to do simple yet necessary tasks- like opening a wine bottle. 🤪
It’s compact, nicely designed, and reliable. I kept it plugged in all the time with no issues. The only negative so far is the blue light which stays on whenever the unit is in the base, fully charged or not. (Not a fan of the many small yet bright lights from all appliances! Placing a Talking Yoda figurine in front of it blocked enough of the light to satisfy me).
I found it easy to use and appreciated the foil cutter. Worked well on all types of corks.
Flash forward to spring 2024… Despite the constant charging, the corkscrew dies at maybe a half inch into the cork. Just slows down and dies. Having read earlier reviews, I may try to crack it open and replace the battery. But ultimately, having regained my hand strength back, I’m more likely to go back to an old fashioned, reliable, hand operated corkscrew and celebrate the loss of weird lights and needed electricity.
Conclusion: unless you are recovering from hand surgery, just get a good quality non- electric corkscrew and use it for 75 years (optimistically). Best deal ever. And you can take it camping too.

I’ve bought two of these openers. The first one was great, and never had any problems opening wine bottles. Sadly, we lost it in a house move, so I bought a replacement. The second one has been awful. It lacks the power to remove corks, destroys corks in the process and then I’m left to struggle with a manual old school corkscrew to get out what’s left of the cork. The first one I’d rate 5 stars, the second one 1 star. Not sure if I just got a bad one, but now I’m reluctant to buy a replacement for the one that doesn’t work well.

After several other wine bottle openers (other brands) that did not last long, this one is THE wine bottle opener that you want to use. Sleek, yet quite hefty in the hand, it works like a charm. Just place the opening on the top of the bottle and press the button. The device’s screw works its magic like a champ, and you can feel the torque induced while the cork is lifted. Just make sure that you hold the bottle securely, and that you let the mechanism stops by itself at the end of the opening. Then, press the other button to release the cork. Et voilà ! If there is a little minus to mention is that the unit wobbles a bit when put back in its charging cradle. Not too much of a hassle, since the unit will sit on your counter or your bar, glowing a nice gentle blue hue while being there.
I bought two other kits, just to be given away as gifts. BTW, the wife loves it too, and find it easy to use as well. Time will tell if this unit will last longer than my other brand’s units, but so far it looks promising.

Haven’t used it yet. Go figure…every wine bottle I’ve bought lately has a twist top.
Boo hoo Although it’s a very nice looking device that’ll compliment your countertop. I’m sure will work well.

My household has gone through it’s share of wine openers and this one may be the best. It comes with a small docking station for charging. Good value and easy to use. The foil cutter is included too so you get easy removal. It opens wine within seconds.

I have had mechanical wine openers before and found them to be more annoying and more time consuming than just using a traditional corkscrew. NOT the case w/this one. So….
1. display: the charger station is small enough in size that it would fit in most any location w/o taking up too much space. For those that do not like clutter or one more “gadget” to sit out, this is a good size. The charging station has a little holder for the foil cutter as well which is great and keeps all parts together so no one has to search drawers when ready to open the bottle. There is a blue light that glows while being charged and is very pleasant to look actually and is a nice touch. so it actually looks really good sitting on top of the wine rack. Mine happens to be right next to an electrical plug on the wall so does not reveal the hanging cords or wires.
2. function: works great so far and have opened quite a few bottles. very easy to use. would suggest holding the bottle by the fatter part toward the middle and then using the other hand to work the corkscrew. does not work well if the bottle sits on the counter unless you have a good solid grip on the base. Its actually easier to just pick up the bottle and do it that way. of course that’s after using the foil cutter which gives a perfect cut and removal each and every time.
3. battery life: i think the product says it can be used for 30 bottle openings during a single charge. that is quite more wine that most people would be going through in an evening so i don’t think anyone would have an issue w/keeping a charge. I use it and then put directly back on the charging station as i do my mechanical salt and pepper grinders. that way, its always on the cradle and charging. as mentioned there is a blue light that glows in the actual item while its charging and i like the way it looks so would have no reason to keep it off the charger anyway.
this also makes a GREAT gift especially a house warming gift to anyone who drinks wine or entertains
