Disclosure

This drone is absolutely amazing! It’s so easy to control, even for the most unskilled Mini Nano RC Drone for Kids. And let’s not forget about the thrilling 3D flips, because what’s more exciting than a drone flying in circles? But wait, there’s more!

And with the Headless Mode, you don’t even have to worry about figuring out directions, because they will always be relative to where you’re facing. Because we all know kids and beginners have absolutely no sense of direction. And of course, there are three speed modes, because we wouldn’t want all kids to have the same flying experience.

Safety first! The propellers are protected by a guard so that kids won’t accidentally get hurt by spinning propellers. And if things get really out of control, there’s an emergency stop function to immediately bring the drone down, because crashing and damaging the drone is just so much fun. It’s so tiny and convenient, you can easily carry it around in your pocket or bag. Perfect for all those exciting party, school, fishing, hiking, and long journey adventures.

First off I did not expect this thing to be so tiny lol but that makes it great to mess around with indoors. Also my hands are very tiny so the drone is maybe 4 inches.

Setup is easy and the instructions were helpful. Flying it is also very easy. It’s very responsive and has great control. The motor is powerful.

The self floating works pretty well too. It moves forward a bit, but that’s just something I have to calibrate on my end.

Overall, a very good purchase for the money. Definitely recommend for a first drone. It flies very very fast lol so watch where you’re aiming. Don’t take out an eye lol

Cannot attest to how long the battery works yet, as my son just opened this for his birthday, but will update my review after he messes with it more.

Only thing I don’t like about it, is the controller takes 4 AAA batteries to work. Wish that it would have been rechargeable as well.

     Ease of Use:
This drone is very easy to fly and use, even for a beginner. I had my mom, who had never flown anything before, fly this drone. She was able to keep it in the air and did not crash. She did bump the wall, but the included prop guards allow the drone to ride on the wall and not harm the drone or the paint.

    Packaging:
This drone is packaged very well. It comes inside the box surrounded by plastic. I actually had a rough time getting this drone out of the packaging. Also, the drone fits very well inside the radio.

    Portability:
This drone is very portable, and can be flown nearly anywhere indoors. The only downside to this drone’s portability is that while, yes it fits in the radio very well, there is no casing for the radio to go into. If you feel comfortable carrying around the radio, then you can carry the drone. One thing to note is that the drone’s foldable arms click and lock multiple times before they reach fully extended. Be careful when you try to extend the drone’s arms and make sure that you don’t try to push them the wrong way.

    Durability:
This drone is very durable. Since I have had this and flown it, (I have probably flown it 10 times) I have had only a few crashes, and the ones that I have had do no damage. There is also rubber stoppers on the bottom of each motor that in the event of the drone being dropped, there is no damage. If you do crash, make sure that you kill the motors as per the manual.

    Quality of Materials:
This drone’s quality feels that of a $40 maybe even $50 drone. The radio feels like it is worth the price you pay. I would rather have most of the quality in the drone anyways, and that is where all the quality has been placed.

    Battery Life:
This drone advertises 5 – 7 minutes of battery life. I find this to be correct.

    Charging time:
This drone takes around 40 minutes to charge.

    Skill Level of Pilot:
I would let anyone fly this drone, even someone who has never flown anything before, whether it be plane, heli, or quad. This drone is so easy and simple to fly that almost anyone could fly it. One other nice thing is that this drone’s controls are very very similar to my larger drone also from Holy Stone.

    Indoor Flight:
This drone flies its best indoors. It can do flips indoors as well.

    Outdoor Flight:
Only an experienced pilot should fly this drone outside. This drone can be taken by the wind very easily. I would only recommend flying this drone outside on high speed so that you can fight the wind.

    Is this quad noisy?
Some members of my family call this drone a bee. It does sound a-lot like a very large bee. This drone is not too loud, but I would not call it quiet.

    Box to Air Time:
You can get this drone from the box into the air in under an hour, depending on how long the battery takes to charge (my battery came half full)

    Quality of features:
The flip feature on this drone works great. Just make sure that once you press the right joystick down to enter flip mode, that you immediately move that joystick in the direction that you want it to flip. Two beeps sound, and if you make no action in these two beeps, your quad exits flip mode.
The high speed rotation works well. Depending on which speed setting you are on depends on how fast the drone rotates as well as the overall speed of the drone.
The speed switch works well. Top speed it VERY fast and I don’t recommend using it at all, especially in a tighter indoor space.

    Auto Land:
When this quad is low on battery, it lands its self. When it gets to a certain point, it won’t flip anymore. Soon after, it will land. This feature works as it should.

    Downsides:
This drone sometimes likes to drift. Using the trimmer reset function helps though. This drone has no camera, although that is not surprising for something this size. The trimmer buttons do not do much in my opinion. If the drone drifts, the drone trimmer reset works the best.

    Overall:
If you are looking for a drone to learn on, just fly indoors, something to do on a rainy day, or to impress your friends with cool flips, then this drone is for you.

A cool concept, well executed. Flies well, very zippy and responsive. Very very small, so obviously very light. Can still fly outside on calm days, but definitely belongs indoors. Decent range for what it is. The remote that houses AND RECHARGES the drone looks neat and feels good in-hand. Comfortable size, quality feel. One of my favorite toy drones. Has survived many, many crashes.

Es bueno y resistente y es fácil de manejar pero es mucho más pequeño de lo que las imágenes muestran, cabe en la palma de la mano sobrado.

Manual says 5-7minutes of flying time but mentions this no where in the ad. That is not very fun for kids. But for that would have kept it but that is too frustrating.

Great training drone. Small and safe for indoor flying with prop guards installed. Battery lasts about 7 minutes depending upon how many flips you do. Very helpful for new pilots to learn to fly. Really like the light and red props on the front to help with orientation. Like the charging plug that’s housed inside the controller.

My son loved it, but when the battery dies he has to charge it and wait long time. They should add extra battery and charge for it .

It works great!! The controls are easy to use and not overly sensitive. Everything works exactly as advertised and I think it’s a fantastic value for such a low price. I genuinely couldn’t be happier or more satisfied with this product.

I already own a Holy Stone HS210F which I love and fly almost every day indoors. Got this to try out and I am blown away. Flies different but still amazing. At first I could not believe how tiny it was folded up. After flying it around the apartment the first time and trimming it I could feel this was a great flyer. Smooth and responsive controls gave me a great flight around the apartment and the lights give you a good sense of direction. Totally recommended little toy.

Having previously purchased a larger HS710 from Holy Stone, I was impressed with the bang for buck the company offered. When I ran across the HS190 and read the reviews I decided to snag one just to dink around with since it was super affordable.

Item arrived quickly and undamaged with all items listed accounted for. Flight time is pretty much as advertised. My only minor complaint would be the inability to hold trim. In other words, even though the controller offers the ability to compensate for drift (forward, backward, left, right) by pressing the appropriate buttons multiple times to fine tune, my particular drone will not retain those adjustments after making a pass around the yard. I can adjust trim and get the drone to more or less hover in place, but after using the controller to fly around even the shortest distance, the drone no longer maintains a stationary hover. The drift is slow to medium in speed. Not fly-away by any means, but may make indoor use a little nerve racking. Again, this characteristic may not be representative of all HS190’s but has been the case with mine since day one.

That being said, it is what it is, an inexpensive drone that is fun to fly around. The ability to charge the drone on the go straight from the controller is really nice. Small and lite enough that a beginner most likely will not damage anything they crash into.

With the company’s customer service reputation, and my experience with their drones, I would not hesitate to purchase future products from them.

Small. Flies well. Wind does effect it because it is so light. But fun!
