I was actually looking for a Levinchy set and accidentally purchased these. I almost sent them back, but so glad I didn't. If you're looking for the perfect sharp knife this set is it! They the Damascus design doesn't stand out as well, but it is just as sharp as the Levinchy. The first pictures are the Wolfgang brothers brand I purchased so you can see the difference. But these cut just as well as the Levinchy and the price is more affordable. I bought these on sale for $90+ dollars I believe. The Levinchy knife I bought my son which is why I decided to purchase these was $85 just for the one large chef knife. He and everyone else loved it. In fact when he moved out of his grandmother's house she asked him to leave it behind. These knives will slice through a tomato with out having to put any pressure on it. And I love the fact it also comes with kitchen shears which I haven't used yet, but can't wait to. If you wash and dry these knives right after use they will last a very long time. I personally don't put any of my sharp knives in the dishwasher because this rules any sharp knives and you also wouldn't want to accidentally touch the blades on these as I did once trying to pick it up. I varilly touched the blade and immediately started bleeding, but it is so sharp I didn't even feel it when I did. So if you want sharp and extremely beautiful you can spend the extra money on the Levinchy, but personally I store my knives so not to leave lying around for my gransons to find. I'm not saying these knives aren't beautiful, because they are. I'm saying if you want something at a reasonable price and pretty go for the Wolfgang brothers knife set and you won't be buying another set for a long time, if ever.

These are some very nice looking sharp knifes. Like the travel bag as I go to friends and will bring these with me if I am doing any prep work or cooking. Everyone has really liked the feel and the overall balance of these knifes. Edge and blade has a very nice hammered look which not sure if it will make the knife stay sharper longer but it does look great. Also the handle being whit also make them stand out and go wow, have a nice grip and do not slip. Carrying case is nice and each blade has a protective cover for safety. The knifes scissors are all very sharp. Having deboning scissors is a very nice touch. Overall great knife set to take with you on the go or your everyday cutting knife.

Very nice set of knives. I used them to cut potatoes to make mashed potatoes, and it was like cutting butter. Time will tell how these hold up but I am pretty impressed thus far!

They’re beautiful and the Damascus pattern on the steel makes them look so elegant and professional; I REALLY like them. A few aspects of note:
1. There are only 4 knives; its title says “6-piece set,” which is correct, but only 4 of the pieces are knives. The other two are a knife sharpener and a pair of kitchen shears.
2. If you’re considering buying it as a gift for someone, it’s packaged quite nicely. It comes in an attractive black box and, upon opening, has a layer of black foam and then each of the knives on full display in their own little divots that fit their shape. They have black hard-plastic blade guards and little firm-plastic tip protectors (the tip protectors don’t run the length of the full blade, though) and look really lovely. I may buy a set of these for my sister.
3. There’s no knife block or any other type of storage utensil aside from the box itself. I have a knife block already so it’s fine for me but if you don’t, you’ll probably want one; I wouldn’t want to just toss these in a drawer.
4. They didn’t actually come super sharp. Sharp enough to cut something, sure, but with a little effort. I cut up an apple and, although it was a BIG and very firm apple, I was surprised that I had to push down a bit. Damascus steel shouldn’t have a problem becoming super sharp so I’m going to sharpen all of them later this week, but it did say in the description that they were “ultra sharp,” and fresh out of the package, they aren’t.

Really like them and I will be using them a LOT - I’m using them to replace a few knives that I inherited from my parents when I moved away to college like 10 years ago. I have no real complaints!
