I had seen a lot of ads for Speks, which seem to be the name brand version of this product, but I didn’t feel like paying name brand prices. So after a bit of research, I got the Spekgo instead, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Great color, nice and durable. They fit and feel great in your hand and are very easy to play with. It’s such a simple concept, but beautifully delivered on. Mine just sit on my desk at work and are the perfect thing to tinker with during online meetings or while I’m brainstorming on a project. The ONLY complaint I have is that I wish they were a little less clicky so I wouldn’t distract others during in person meetings. But I don’t see how that would be possible design wise. Besides that tiny thing, these are perfect, and I’m considering buying another set or two so I can have different colors!

I have yet to buy the original Speks toy, so I’ll just put that out there. I bought the Magifide versions which imitate the shape, apparently, of the Speks geode.
While the less angular shape allows for more building options, the constructs do tend to be a bit unstable without the pieces holding each other into place.
I agree with the sentiment on the keychain. I’d rather pay less for the product than receiving an additional “free” item I didn’t ask for.

I bought a few of these for my family to play with while we’re at work, doing school work or just hanging out. They are great to play with when you’re tied up on the phone or a video call. I’ve had the fidget sphere for a few weeks now and just last night discovered a few new shapes I could make with it. The possibilities are endless and the build quality of the product is top notch.
