Disclosure

Introducing the ‘Almost-Useful’ Portable Solar Charger! This Portable Outdoor Waterproof Solar Power Bank marvel of engineering boasts water resistance, shock resistance, and dustproof capabilities – perfect for surviving the apocalypse…or maybe just a light drizzle. It even comes with a fancy carabiner, compass (because you’ll definitely be lost without it), and a pair of LED flashlights (great for illuminating the tiny amount of power you’ll actually get).

Don’t forget the two charging methods! You can either wait for the sun to do its thing (hopefully it’s not cloudy or nighttime) or, you know, plug it into a wall outlet like a normal person. It’s compatible with every phone under the sun, even your Go-Pro (because capturing your epic wilderness adventure is so important when your phone’s battery is about to die).

And the dual USB ports? A truly revolutionary feature! Now you can charge two phones at the same time…at a snail’s pace. The LED lights even have a fancy SOS mode, but don’t rely on them too much. They’re probably powered by the same solar energy that takes forever to charge the battery.

But don’t worry, it’s safe! They used eco-friendly rubber and plastic (that’s comforting). And of course, it’s got all the fancy certifications. But just remember, solar charging is basically a joke. You’ll need to leave it out in the blazing sun for days to get a sliver of power.

And for the grand finale? A generous 12-month warranty! Because who needs their solar charger to work for more than a year, right? And don’t worry, if it doesn’t live up to its promises, you can always try to get a replacement or refund. Just make sure you have the time and energy to fight with their “friendly” customer service.

I was quite surprised at the performance of this power bank/flashlight for its price. I think it would be great to have in the house especially if there happened to be a power outage – to charge devices and/or for the benefit of a flashlight! I also think it would be beneficial to have in the car!!

    My Review:
    1. We were travelling (by car) and I needed to recharge my fitness tracker watch so I plugged it in to the power bank. It worked like a charm! It only used one bar. When it was finished, I just set the power bank in the sun on my dashboard to charge it back up – So slick! I should have tried charging my cell phone with it! You can recharge via solar or by outlet – another plus!

    2. I love the flashlight! It’s much brighter than I expected it to be! It has two light functions: steady or blinking/flashing.

    3. Compass: This is my only negative – the compass was not accurate and did not work for me. I did not report it or try to exchange it – because I wasn’t planning to use that function.

    4. The compass did not work. I don’t know if mine was defective or damaged, but I didn’t buy it for the use of a compass, so I’m okay with it and plan to keep it anyway.

    I would recommend this product as a back-up charger/flashlight!

My 14 year old son loves being outdoors, he camps out in the backyard regularly and spends a lot of time in the woods building forts etc. I saw this and thought it was perfect for him! I was not wrong. It has a little flash light on the end, which is awesome. It has a plastic cover to protect the porta from any debris or liquid. It isn’t completely sealed, but overall I think it would do a good job. We haven’t used the solar feature yet, but we charged it and it does the job well! It’s a convenient little charger and I’m glad I got it for him!

I love the size. Charging speed isn’t just super fast but it worked great to charge my daughter’s iPad. It takes a few days to charge using the sun. I left it outside on my front porch and it took more than 3 days to charge portable power is good and I have not had any issues with the durability just yet.

(NOTE:To make life easier for those of you who don’t want to read about why I bought this, where I used it, ect. I have 3 categories below: the “good”, the “annoying, but I’ll deal w/ it”,& last but not least the “WTF?!”. I broke down what I thought about the SOLAR CHARGER into these theee categories. This way, you can just just skip over what I write next. You are welcome😉

My son and my brother were headed to the wilderness of Idaho to go fly fishing and float down the Salmon River. We in DC (as inside the city, not a suburb! 🤨). I was concerned “a little
Bit” (mom code for OH MY GOODNESS I CANNOT HANDLE THIS) were totally off the grid for five whole days and only had a satellite phone incase of emergency. I purchased this item— SOLAR CHARGER —so my son was able to keep his phone, and the cameras charged. When I opened the packaged to inspect the SOLAR CHARGER, I couldn’t find an instruction manual. “How hard can it be to figure out a solar charger? Just stick the thing in the sun and once it’s charged, plug the things in to charge it. Right?” Is what I thought to myself.
Well, I was WRONG. It was WAY confusing. Neither my techy son (wizard with tech), my husband (a step down from my sons tech genius, but still day and night compared to myself), nor my brother could figure out how to charge it using the solar
Panel. It was frustrating to say the least. So, just be warned. Also, if anyone has purchase this or if the makers (or sellers) read this and could perhaps let us in on the mystery of the solar panel, we would greatly appreciate it.

Here are the categories of annoyances (or lack there of):

    **GOOD**:
~very small and portable. It was about the size of a smaller IPhone—just 1/2 inch thicker or so.
~came with a wired charger. Which, if you read my rambling above, you’d see was a life saver.
~Had a FLASHLIGHT! Which was so cool. The FLASHLIGHT had SOS, STROBE, and regular light. I was happy to see this since my baby boy (who is 15 and about 1/2 foot taller than me now—but dammit is still my baby!) was out on the wild Wild West where Buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. It was a good idea for the SOS, that way if they had been lost from the ktbere, the condo bae the SOS light on. Too bad the charger would have died, since no one could figure out how to charge it via the panel. 🤔

**ANNOYING, BUT CAN DEAL WITH IT**:
—I would have loved it the charger came in some sort of carrying case. This way the outlet charging wire would be kept together.
—Havinf the button for the SOS, strobe, and regular flashlight be the same one was slightly annoying. My son told me when they (he and my brother) would use it, the would keep pressing SOS by accident. I can see so many different ways that could go wrong.

    **OMG WTF

The battery pack is light weight. It does appear charging in Sun light with green light and blue lights on. Solar panel charging is slow as expected with Photovoltaic cells. It helps on camping trips and emergency situations. The flashlight is not bright, may be less than 100-150 lumens at most like a cell phone. I didn’t test the full capacity of the battery pack though. It appears robust enough, time will tell about the performance and reliability.

I love this solar power pack. I bought it for hurricane season but soon learned so many times I use it. Great for camping, hiking, really any outdoor activity. Love the light and SOS feature. Very durable, easy to use. As expected solar charging is slower but gets the job done, especially during power outages. Clips right on to my backpack and is rain resistant.

What that means is. Husband goes to training quite frequently. He is always needing battery packs for it. They are always super annoying to keep charged and make sure they are good to go. This pack was a life saver for his past training he used it for over a week and worked the entire time!

This is an emergency situation sort of item where as it must charge all day in direct sunlight and then I’ve only used the flashlight 🔦 bc the charger function doesn’t seem to work yet still it dies within twenty minutes but those 20 minutes tho 🤤 #priceless
