First of all, I received a game that had already been used. The game includes two mini white erase boards which had both been written on a lot, and the erasers had also been used. One star removed for sending me something used when I paid for something new. It definitely detracted from the experience because I kept being reminded that I was touching and using something that other people had used.

But oh well, we played it because it’s a lot of trouble to repackage something and drive all the way to a drop off location just to get a refund for a $20 game. And it’s a fun game, kind of like trivia about your relationship. But the entire deck of cards takes maybe an hour to run through, and then you can’t start over because you’ve already answered all the questions. I’ll probably pass the game along to another couple I know.

Overall: I’d rather buy board/card games that we can play over and over again.

The Couples Game That’s Actually Fun really lives up to its name! My partner and I had a blast playing this—it’s not just another boring “relationship game,” but genuinely entertaining. The questions and challenges are a good mix of fun, light-hearted, and sometimes thought-provoking. It really helped us learn new things about each other, even after being together for a while.

It’s perfect for a date night or to break out during a gathering with other couples. The prompts lead to some great conversations, and there’s plenty of laughter along the way. The game design is simple but well thought-out, making it easy to jump right in without complicated rules.

Whether you’re looking for a way to bond with your partner or just a fun addition to game night, this is a great choice. Highly recommend it for couples who want to add a little extra fun and connection to their relationship.

    ## DSS Games The Couples Game That’s Actually Fun: A Review

**The Couples Game That’s Actually Fun**, by DSS Games, promises a fun and engaging experience for couples. While it’s marketed as a party game, I found it works best as a casual, intimate activity for two. Here’s a breakdown of what I liked and disliked about the game:

    **What I Loved:**

    * **Simple and Quick:** The game’s rules are very easy to grasp, requiring minimal setup and play time. It’s perfect for a quick and spontaneous activity after dinner or a relaxing evening.
    * **Engaging Questions:** The questions, ranging from playful to deep, encourage conversation and laughter. They offer a great opportunity to learn something new about your partner or rediscover fun facts you’ve forgotten.
    * **Competitive with a Twist:** The game’s competitive element adds a playful push without overshadowing the focus on bonding. It encourages brainstorming and strategic questioning, making it more than just answering random prompts.
    * **Varied Decks:** The ‘Blue’ and ‘Red’ decks offer different levels of intimacy and depth, allowing you to tailor the game based on your comfort level and desired discussion topics.

    **What Could Be Improved:**

    * **Limited Replayability:** The questions, while entertaining, are limited in number. Once you’ve played through them a few times, the novelty may wear off. The creators could benefit from expanding the card decks or releasing themed expansions.
    * **Lack of Depth for Long-Term Couples:** For couples who are already deeply connected, some questions might feel too simplistic. The game could benefit from including prompts that encourage more complex and meaningful dialogue.

    **Overall:**

The Couples Game That’s Actually Fun delivers on its promise of fun and engaging gameplay. It’s a great option for couples looking for a lighthearted way to connect and laugh together. While the limited card decks and relatively simple questions might not appeal to everyone, the game’s easy-to-learn rules and focus on meaningful conversation make it a worthwhile experience. I would recommend it for couples new to game nights or those seeking a casual, low-pressure way to learn more about each other.

We really got a good kick out of this game for a night! We didn’t really play the game, we more just looked through the cards and asked each other questions and had a good laugh or discussion about our answers. I think it is a bit overpriced but I don’t regret buying it, was fun to have some laughs!

I wanted to buy some board games for them rainy introverted days and this caught my eye for me and my partner and it’s actually so fun and interactive. Me and my partner had some great laughs with this. If you want to build bonding with your loved one regardless to whether you have been together for 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years or 20 years, this will really bring back some great fun between you both! Save your partnership/marriage by spending a tenner on this and it will help!

So my husband and I play this occasionally we’ll pick how many cards we are going to do and then play. Some of the cards are fun and are great ways to reminisce. Some of the match ones are great, because for the better cards it is really fun when we match. There are some odd ones in there like what would our rapper names be? I guess it depends upon the people playing some might think that is a fun question, it just wasn’t for us. We thought the question would we have been friends in high school was pretty funny, since we were before we started dating in high school.

My husband and I haven’t gotten to spent much alone time with having 3 kids in 4 years. I suggested we try, and he hesitantly agreed just to appease me. We both spent an hour laughing and enjoying each other’s sometimes surprising responses. We’ve been together 15 years so it was a great tool to reconnect and remind each other of how much fun we can have.
