Did I, a grown adult, actually purchase a ridiculous pillow like this for myself? You’re darn rye-t I did. I’m, so far, very happy with this purchase. It is perfect for giving back support on a couch and just the right length to support between the knees for a side sleeper. It also looks so very realistic. While the fabric is a bit thin and I would not be surprised if it were to rip or wear easily, overall very happy with the pillow.

This is a really fun, comfy, useful pillow! (See below for info that refutes some of the bad reviews!) I saw it and immediately thought of a younger family member that loves to bake all kinds of yeast breads and thought they would love the humor and comfort in it. I bought one for each of us because of the great price and they arrived on time packaged together in a bigger Amazon box.
I thought of giving this as one of their birthday gifts, as the size of the individual boxes they come in are medium sized and could easily be wrapped up for a present, but I decided I couldn’t wait to see the look on their face right now (bday is over 6 months away) so I gave it as an I love you just for fun, ‘It’s Thursday’ gift. 🙂
Needless to say, we opened them together yesterday and they puffed right up once we opened up the plastic compression bag! They look SO realistic! (At first they vaugely smelled of fresh bread! Nice touch! That wore off by today though.) They have regular poly batting inside and a zipper so you could add more if you wanted or take some away, but we LOVE them exactly as they are. The zipper hole IS NOT TINY as another reviewer stated! I have medium sized hands and have room to spare. The opening is 7 inches long and opens up plenty wide, which is perfectly reasonable. It DEFINITELY WOULD NOT be ‘Agonizing’ to add some fiber fill or remove it if you just wanted to wash the cover. That’s an extreme exageration.
If you’re petite they can be used as a mini body pillow. The recipient of this gift is just above 5 feet tall and small stature and they used it both while sitting in a wing chair watching tv that evening and then they took it to bed and slept with it all night very comfortably with their head on it hugging it. They were SO HAPPY this morning! YAY! Score for baguette! 🙂
I took mine to lean on while I watched tv in bed and then pulled it up to go under my head and lean on while I took a short nap partialy on my side which is extremely rare for me to be able to do even partially. I have severe advanced rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and other autoimmune diseases (short version- I’m physically disabled with a tremendous amount of pain, discomfort and other physical issues) and I slept happily and cozy with this fun, soft pillow. I actually have it supporting my arm that holds my tablet right now and it’s very comfortable and it makes me smile! 🙂 (I’m not as much a baker, but used to be a Chef and am Italian and French so proper bread is a HUGE deal in my family…all the more humerous for us! 🙂
My family and I got a good laugh at what it looked like in my adult bedroom! I’ll definitely be using it daily in bed and around the house for multiple uses. It’s soft and squishy, but with a bit of firmness. Perfect for arm support, head bolster, mini body pillow (I’m 5’6″), lap pillow, leg support or just to lean on and pet the soft cover. It was a really great price (less than the smaller sizes) and on Day 2 we are both very happy with it! I was really hoping it would be both fun AND useful as I’m not a fan of cluttering my home with usless stuff and so far it’s exactly what I wished for! It does it’s job and a bit more for a novelty pillow so what more could one ask for!
I will update if anything changes. I really hope it won’t change at all!
