Love this hat. I bought it for a trip to Norway and wanted something warm, waterproof and not so balaclava looking. This is perfect, in fact I rate it so much that I bought another one immediately for my husband, which he is very happy with.

Put this on to take care of the snow to find it is adjustable but only for a large head. Maybe should try another hat under it. It is good against the wind when it is below 20 F. Otherwise not required. Great on the days you need it.

There’s a lot to like about this hat given the price. It’s comfortable, soft, warm. The big problem is that I cannot wear it the way I want to, and I don’t understand how it’s supposed to be used.
You’d think, given what the hat looks like, that it would provide standard ushanka type side flaps, only extending down to your chin and neck. But look carefully. Notice how the vendor-suuplied photos don’t show a single person actually wearing it…
There’s a reason for that — the neck area just does not work well. It seems to be designed for a really really wide neck. So while the head part fits very well, no matter how tight you adjust the velcro around your neck, it’s extremely loose.
Maybe people in China wear these along with a very bulky scarf? Or maybe they want it to be loose so it just blocks wind but nothing more? Regardless it’s not what I wanted. You’re better off with a traditional ushanka hat (that you can tighten round the neck) and a good cahsmere scarf; at least you can arrange the scarf to be as tight as you want.
It’s a real shame. I had high hopes for this as being exactly the cold outdoor hat I wanted, but sadly no.

My 15 year old son asked me to buy him a new hat and he loves this one. The mask part is removable. He wore it all winter 2021 and put it up for next year. Definitely would purchase again.

I bought this for my husband who occasionally has to brave the elements (harsh wind and snow) for work. Overall, he was quite happy with my purchase. It fit decently and keeps him fairly warm. Considering the low price, I can’t complain too much. Although the one thing I can say is that the snaps for the face mask were plastic. But the easy remedy for that is I just carefully undid one side of the snaps and used the elastic “over the ear strap” and left the other side snapped. I just don’t see the snaps being very durable for repeated snapping/unsnapping. But again, overall, he was very pleased.
