These are great lanterns to provide ambiance at night plus they even look pretty during the day. They do cast a unique, beautiful shadow at night. They seem to be of good quality and they’re so easy to use. You turn it on and put it in the sun and that’s it. I do have to add that these won’t work inside, even if you have a sunny window. I tried this first in a window that gets a lot of sun, thinking there would be sufficient sunlight to charge it, but there wasn’t. But, they look great outside, so I guess you could charge it up outdoors and then bring it inside for tabletop elegance. Note: I got three similar lanterns, so as you’re looking at my pic of the three, this one is the middle lantern.

This is better than I expected. It really makes an area cozy with the pattern and soft light.
Pros:
Charges in a bright room fine. You can use it indoors.
Pattern orojected looks very nice.
The lantern looks nice during the day when not lit.
Lights the floor, not everything around it, with the pattern. But still makes a nightlight type light from the side.

Cons:
None really so far. Just be aware that the projected pattern is sharper the closer it is too the floor. Maybe around a 4 food diameter. If you want to hang it high, it's still a very pretty lamp, just no pattern will be seen below

At first, I was skeptical when I looked at the pictures of this item and it’s posting. It looked too perfect, the sharp decorations on the table and ground below it the beautiful bronze color it seemed it was probably too good to be true. But, I couldn’t resist getting it. I am so glad I did. The lamp itself is only about 8 inches tall or so in a beautiful copper bronze color. I chose the one with the butterflies and I sat it outside on my back porch to charge right away. That night after the sun has gone down, I walked outside to check on it. It was lit up, brilliantly. Not an intense light , but a glowing, warm light. I just like the pictures on the ground around it were perfectly lit up designs that were carved into it. It was simply amazing to look at. I picked it up and as a raise did the cutouts did slightly become less sharp. They still were very recognizable as to what they were I raising it up, you also increase the area that the light reaches. The higher, you lift it, the wider of the circle of light. I have both a shepherds hook that I hang it from over the ground, and I also love to place it in the middle of my outdoor tables. My guests are always in all of it. I can’t recommend this enough to add some beauty to your nighttime decorations around your home. I have attached a picture of what it looks like in true life to prove that, it truly does work as advertised

This hanging solar lantern casts a lovely light pattern around and beneath of hummingbirds and their flight paths, which look like gently rolling strings of beads or pearls. The lantern is lightweight and has a handle, so it can easily be moved around to ensure the best charge during the sunlight of the day and placement for the most dramatic effect at night. My experience with several similar lanterns is that the rechargeable solar battery will last a long, long time, and when it can no longer be charged, the whole lid with solar panel is replaceable for just a few dollars. The lacy distribution of this lantern's light design is particularly pretty. It would be beautiful as part of a set along a walkway or garden path, but it's also perfectly charming as a solo point of interest in the garden or outdoor living area.

Love this solar lantern! Not only does it look nice unlit, but it also looks amazing at night once lit. Unlit, it is a pretty copper-colored lantern with a punched pattern. At night, once lit, the pattern it throws is very clear and detailed, and it reaches a fairly large diameter. It is powered by a small solar cell that powers a single LED light that lasts several hours. It also comes with a 'handle' for hanging and is very well-balanced.
I like that the lid containing the light can be separated from the base to charge which also makes for easy cleaning. And it also has an "on/off" switch so you can cut it off when you're done for the night.
Overall I am very happy with this cute solar lantern.

I love the pattern of not only the light shining through the sides but also the beautiful pattern that shines out of the bottom. It is better if it is not on the grass but if in a dark enough location it is visible on grass too. The copper like look of the lantern is pretty both day and night and the solar panel charges up just fine during the day. The light that shines through is bright enough for you to see the beautiful designs on the sides. One of my favorite things this year!

I've been collecting solar powered lamps, lately, to brighten up the long, dark Pacific Northwest nights. This light is a lovely addition to my collection! The hummingbirds reflect out of all sides of the container including the bottom, casting attractive light through the darkness. Although I don't go out in the cold at night much, I love looking through the window to see this light sparkling up the dark winter. And my neighbors get to enjoy it, too.

There's nothing to do except remove the plastic cover over the solar receptor, move the switch to ON, then hang it out in the sun to charge up. I haven't gotten up early enough to see how long the charge lasts, but will edit this post if I ever do. After cloudy days, like today, I find these lamps only charge enough for very faint light to shine at night, but I will move it to a sunnier spot to see if that helps. On sunny days, being in the partial shade is not a problem.

The copper colored metal is very attractive in the daytime, not just at night. I consider it 'yard art' and it adds a little class to the patio. I find that LED bulbs are often very 'cold', but I think the copper colored metal makes this one look warmer. It's really lovely to look at, and I highly recommend it for folks wanting a little sparkle in their dark winter nights.
