I just wish they had generic type gifts like this in a box for males, as well. In any case, this gift box went over well with a new co-worker only recently and she loved several items, especially the candle and bath salts (seems she loves a nice bath so score!)

The set features: a 20oz rose gold stainless steel insulated tumbler engraved with “Not A Day Over Fabulous,” an ice roller, a stone bracelet, a handmade scented candle, bath salts, and a greeting card (it is described as personalized but it’s a generic card). It is all presented in a nice, sturdy gift box.

All in all, it’s a nice set to keep on hand and I’m sure that if I bought each of these items separately, it would have cost more so I think it’s a good deal.

This is a nice gift box, containing an assortment of gifts aimed at women.

The box itself is strong and sturdy. It looks attractive; the writing on it is nice, and the colors on the box coordinate well with the colors of all the gifts inside. Get rid of the protective outer sleeve that says “Gift Seal – Tear It Up” on it, before you give the box to anyone. I spent a while wondering what those words meant, wondering if it was young-person code for “have a party” or something, then concluded that the outer sleeve isn’t actually an important part of the gift box.

The contents of the box are as follows:

A card, with dried flowers fastened to the front, and the message “Especially for you” on it. At the bottom of the card is written “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower”. It’s a pretty-enough card, and I would give it to someone with the gift box. There’s no envelope, but you can write inside (which is blank) and leave it inside the box with the gifts.

A tumbler with the words “Not a day over fabulous” on it, which makes the whole gift box probably more suitable for a mature woman celebrating a birthday, than for any other occasion. The tumbler is good quality, and the top closes very securely. I’ve used it for hot and cold drinks, and not had any leaks or problems with it. I also appreciate that there’s a metal straw, and a little cleaning brush. The tumbler is sparkly on the outside, as the photos show, and mine didn’t have any damage when it arrived, and seems to be holding up well so far.

A lavender-scented candle in a box. The box is pretty, with a flower design on top. The candle is in a glass jar with a lid, and it smells great. The fragrance is more subtle when you burn it, but it’s still bigger than a couple of the other candles I’ve seen in gift boxes, and candles are always useful anyway.

Bath salts. These come in a pretty little glass jar, and they’re the perfect color to match my guest bathroom, so that’s where they currently are. The fragrance is a bit of a mystery; it’s not lavender and not peach, and is more like a mild men’s cologne smell, I think. It’s subtle in water, but the little jar is very cute. My only criticism is that the cork lid doesn’t stay on very well. For packaging, it’s secured with clear plastic, which is helpful, but once the plastic is removed, the cork lid pretty much just perches on top of the jar. If you held it upside-down, or even sideways, the lid would fall off. Not an actual problem once it’s in the bathroom, obviously.

An ice roller, mainly designed for the face. I absolutely love this. I didn’t expect to like it at all, but you put the roller part into the freezer, take it out, and roll the massager all over your face, and anywhere else you want to (neck and shoulders are good), and it’s actually really nice and soothing. On a hot day, it would be great for cooling down. It’s designed to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, help to slim down a double chin, provide relief for tired eyes, reduce puffiness, migraines and stress. All of those are big claims, and I’m not convinced about any of them, but I like the relaxing way this feels on my skin, so that’s good enough. Anything else will be a bonus.

A stone bracelet, in a little flat box. This is the star of the gift box for me. I have chubby arms and wrists, and the bracelet fits perfectly without being tight. If you have skinny wrists, it will be looser. The stones are all randomly patterned, and feel cool against the skin. From previous experience with similar bracelets, I believe that some of the silver color on the little heart charm will eventually wear off over time, leaving a copper-y tone underneath, but that’s fine, and it will just look as if it was designed to be that way.

A couple of things to point out about the seller’s photos: the box is smaller than shown in the photo of the three girls with one of them holding a (clearly photoshopped) box. The size of the box in the photo of the girl with the balloons is more accurate. The box doesn’t come with the red ribbon around it, and none of the baubles or ribbons shown in the photos are included either. The sparkly reindeer decoration is also not included. However, these photos are just illustrations, and the seller’s photos of the actual contents of the box are accurate.

Overall, this is a very nice box of gifts. Boxes like this sometimes receive criticism for being “impersonal” or “generic”, but I like to look at the gifts separately and decide if each one is giftable. If someone gave me the bracelet on its own, I’d be very happy. Ditto with the tumbler. When you see everything color-coordinated to fit together, I think it’s a good box, with good quality items in, and it looks like a thoughtful gift for someone who needs a bit of pampering. I’d happily give this to a friend or family member, and I’d be happy to receive it as gift myself (which is actually what this is turning out to be, since I plan to keep everything and use it all). The price at the time of this review is $29.99, which actually seems very fair.
