I think this is a decent smart mug, but it has some flaws. When I add liquid to the mug, it shuts off and it doesn’t turn back on when I press/hold the button. I have to place it back on the charger to power it back on. It also takes this a very long time to get to 149 degrees (longer than I’m willing to wait to start drinking my coffee). I’ve tried it with and without the lid, and I could only get the temperature to about 138. As I drink my coffee, which takes me about an hour to finish, the temperature will rise and finally reach my set temp when it’s about half full. I thought my first cup was defective and ordered a replacement, but the new cup does the exact same thing. I originally downloaded the app, but I don’t think it’s helpful since the button on the cup does everything the app can do. The cup is made of metal with an enamel coating, so I don’t use any metal stirring utensils inside. This mug definitely keeps my coffee warm through the last drop and is larger than other smart mugs on the market. Overall, I’m pleased with this!

Nice looking mug with a good feel to it. Seems to heat to the chosen setting adequately and it has a great range of options you can select to heat to, which is a plus for me over the mugs that offer you only 3 heat settings. Here are a couple of issues, according to me: 1. Most times it takes multiple presses of the power button to get it to turn on. 2. Power button matches the mug so closely that it is difficult to find the power button in anything but bright lighting. 3. When the mug sits on the charger, nothing indicates if it is actually charging. 4. When using the mug, you can look at a battery symbol that is supposed to show the charge status. Mine showed me a full looking battery, then 15 minutes later it was dead and needed recharging. Been on the charger for 2 hours now and I don’t know if it has gained any ground or not as the battery symbol hasn’t changed. Lastly, and this is probably just me, the 12 ounce size used with my typical Keurig setting barley leaves any room for cream and is a spill hazard. Since the mug exhibits all of these issues I mentioned, I will be returning it and will give the larger 16 oz mug a try and hope that some of these issues are flukes and will resolve with a different unit.
Update:
Turns out there is a charge indicator (but my wire evidently wasn’t plugged in tight enough) which brings me to the instructions (lack of, a common issue these days) that don’t mention any charge indicator. Had they done so, I would have been able to know what I was looking for to be able to tell that there was a setup issue which I would have then fixed right away.

this mug is just awesome. it is also practical too. has a clear and easy to read display. not overly complicated to use. works as advertised. had hot coffee at 150, put heavy cream which reduced temp to around 100-110 degrees. cup instantly began raising the temp back to temp of 150. was able to actually watch temp increase and steam rise from cup again.

This smart coffee cup is perfect. I tend to forget I am drinking coffee for a while and get back to it later. The coffee mug keeps it nice and tasty warm; it is really well made and keeps the temperature it says on the LED screen. While others go back and forth to the microwave to heat a cup up I just power on and set my smart cup. Gotta love it and the fairly low-priced Smart Mug. Their customer service is also very quick to respond to concerns and reply in a timely manner. Definitely a must have.
