I got this dance mat for my 5 year old daughter. She was so excited, but upon opening and putting in brand new batteries, it wasn’t working. I spent probably 30 minutes shifting and adjusting the batteries, and then FINALLY got it in the “sweet” spot to where it would work and quickly slid the battery cover over it. I’m still not sure what the issue is and am not looking forward to having to change the batteries and deal with that again.

The dance mat is not large but is perfect for her size (she’s almost 6 and a bit taller than average. She is VERY active and likes the different level modes. We have an all tile floor at home, however, and I will say, when she puts it on the “fast” mode and she’s moving all over the place, the mat will slide, so just be careful with that.

I like that the mat has volume control, however I feel like the loudest tone is SOOO loud, and the one below it isn’t quite loud enough. But that could just be me, because we have a fairly chaotic home at times.

My daughter and I both have played the memory mode of the game, which is fun, but sometimes the mat seems overly sensitive and will track a movement twice, and other times it seems we’re having to stomp on the arrow to get it to respond.

The mat itself is a little crunchy sounding because of the plastic, but it’s not bad and does not take away from the game. I do love that each time we’re done playing it, it’s easy to fold back up and slide into its original box to be easily stored away.

Overall, my daughter has had a great time with this mat and still likes to use it pretty much every day for at least a few minutes.

The mat was easy to figure out the different modes without really messing with the instructions. I have a 5 y/o and a 7 y/o who both love taking turns with this, and I love that they’re getting some movement in while having fun. We have had our own dance party together, and honestly it was a blast to do with them even as an old fart 😅 A mentioned by other reviewers, the mat does slightly move a bit on hardwood floors. I would have given this 5 stars if there were something on the under side to help it stay in place better. However, it’s not so bad that it’s unusable. It also folds neatly so is easy to store. Overall this is a fun buy and worth the price.

The mat performs well and is a great activity diversion for kids. Good dance options and easy to follow. Priced reasonably.

It is a fun toy for the kids to dance, or my goal is to let my little girl do some exercises and it does! my little girl likes playing on it, even so far she still couldn’t figure out all fun, her age told me that she has to explore more for a longer time 🙂 For example, the light icon will show in the LED box but she still couldn’t notice that, she always follow the light one on the mat.
There are several modes, I don’t know why she preferred the memorized/challenge model, which is what we played most time. In this mode, if you are fortunate to choose the right, then the speed will be faster. Anyway, we played together always and I can help her. Otherwise, the little kids may be easy to lose the interest since they will feel challenges.
By the way, the battery will run out fast! I hope it can be USB connect or chargable!

Niece and nephew of 11 and 4 respectively love it. They get energy out and get to bond unlike other toys and activities where the age difference usually doesn’t jive.

My 4 year old loves to dance and has tons of energy, so I thought this product would be a fun way for her to expel some of it. She absolutely loves this!

The mat is easy to fold up when not in use so it doesn’t take up a lot of space, but is plenty large enough when laid flat. I have even “danced” on it for our “dance offs” that she’s so into lately.

There are multiple modes on the dance mat and music tempos, such as easy or hard mode, different song tempos and genres, etc. although it was a little confusing on how to switch between different tempo and songs (to be fair I only glanced at the instructions). The volume, play/pause, Bluetooth, etc functions are easily accessible on the mat itself- you simply tap the symbols on the mat with your foot. I haven’t tried the Bluetooth function, but everything else works exactly as it should. The only thing I thought could be better was the increase/decrease of the volume. It doesn’t seem gradual enough to me, so it seems either too quiet or too loud in my opinion.

The arrows on the mat light up with different colors and in different step patterns so that it doesn’t get monotonous. It also lights up in different speeds according to whether you have it set to easy or hard. There is also a display screen at the top of the mat that is similar to a map key. It will light up as well so that the user can just watch the key and know where to step without having to watch the mat. This really helps with feet and eye coordination.

The only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars is because on our hardwood floor it tends to slide around some if you’re really dancing around fast. It’s not too bad, but enough to get you off centered at times to where you miss the lighted arrows.

Overall, this is a very fin dance mat that both my daughter and I have enjoyed. It really gets the cardio going so not only is it fun, but it’s great exercise for her too.
