This beautifully packaged gift set was meant for the Dad of the family and as it turns out Dad has gotten very attached to the great looking Ceramic Mug. The Mug is microwave and dishwasher safe and I can see the quality right there. No fading of colours, no chipping, not getting too hot in the microwave that you cannot handle. The Mug alone is capable of carrying enough weight for this package to sell. This set oozes quality and Dad’s favourite after the Mug is the beautiful looking royal blue Planner. The set also includes with a “monthly treat” activity game which we thought was cool, a Best Dad Ever Card and a small brown leather sheet which can be used as storage for small things like pen, pad or paper. Overall a cool gift for Men and priced just about right.

I am reviewing this as a Vine Customer so have photographed it basically as it comes so you can see how well packed it is.
The box has the look and feel of a Luxury item in that it is very thick and a royal blue colour. On opening it you find a ‘Man with a Plan’ hardback note book which is wrapped in a tissue sleeve, this is on top of a ‘Man Things’ tray. This leatherette tray comes flat and is assembled by snapping together the press studs in the corners.
Under this is another sturdy box with a very nice mug inside. This is a large mug with a large handle and is very good quality. Finally you find what looks like another box but in fact it is just a section holding the ‘Year of Treats’. This I found to be the most unnecessary item and would have preferred a nice pen to go with the book. The idea is that each month you take a card and carry out the suggestion printed on it. Suggestions include:
Take a Hike – to your favourite spot
Picnic – sandwiches in the yard or a feast in the park – you choose.
Considering this is a Happy Birthday gift for a man, more bizarrely:
Spa Night a bubble bath just for you
Let’s Boogie – Dance like no one is watching.
There is also a blank card for you to put your own idea on.
I cannot fault that it is a luxury item and would be perfect for someone you did no know that well and did not know what to get. But for someone like my son, son-in-law or husband then at £29.95, I think I could find something more to useful for them.

This is a pretty nice gift set for a man, especially for a man who is difficult to buy for. It is very nicely presented in a series of gift boxes and/or tissue wrap, and everything is of very good quality.
The book is exceptionally nice with its premium paper and hard cover along with its placekeeper elastic that doubles as a closure.
The catchall tray is a nice size and made of good quality leather. It snaps together in the corners to make the sides stand up and is very useful for containing keys or coins or odds & ends that seem to always end up in a man’s pockets, and the colour and size should go with any decor really.
The bottom two boxes contain the coffee mug and the little ‘give yourself a gift each month’ game. The coffee mug is large sized and seems to be of very good quality. A simple blue and white pattern, with a good heft to it and nice smooth sides and edges. The little cards for the monthly ‘treat’ are really cute but not ‘cutesy’ in the sense that a man won’t like them. I think it’s a really nice addition, actually.
All around, I would recommend this if you need a gift for someone who is difficult to buy for and I think that the quality of the items shines through.

PROS:
The blue, white and tan colors are great – just like the pictures on Amazon.
The mug is a nice ceramic, not plastic, with a large handle – good for big hands.
The card and notebook seem to be of good quality.
It’s great to get all you need in one package (box, gifts and card).
CONS:
The storage tray must be snapped together to use it. I wish it was one piece without snaps.
The “card game” isn’t a game. It’s more of a list of activities your man can do. I’d call it “Year of Activities” instead of “Year of Treats”. I feel he may be let down after expecting real treats only to find out it’s suggestions of things he can do.
Overall, I like this gift set and it takes the guess work out of what to buy someone. The “For Him” set could be used as a holiday gift, valentine’s gift, thank you gift, get well gift and more. Just taking off a couple of stars due to the cons.

I got this as a gift and I really love all of it! Not sure what these other reviews are on about!? Everything looks like the pictures but better in real life. That mug is really impressive. Recommend this when you have a man in your life you don’t know what to buy for!

This is a pretty decent gift idea. It has a very nice mug and journal/notebook. The tray is fairly decent, but isn’t something that grabs me.
The cards are a cool idea. They are things to do throughout the year to treat oneself, such as take a hike, star gaze, etc.
Everything is boxed up in a very attractive package that will make a great gift idea for any man.

The box was really dusty when I got it. The birthday card wasn’t a full folded card, half of the card was cut so I could only write on the back if that makes any sense. Everything else was pretty good quality and would make a great gift.

I ordered this set as a graduation gift for a male friend. Each item has high quality. I recommend it very much. Except for one thing: The package was damaged, and I had to purchase a gift pack to place them in.

This gift set comes with some very useful items for a man. I could see my husband using almost everything that is included in this kit. The items are really well packaged, presented so nicely when the box is opened. Not sure about the Year of Treats item, I feel that could have been something better like maybe a pack of coffee to go with the mug or perhaps a minimalist wallet or keychain. Regardless the leather tray is very nice. It comes flat so just have to fold and snap the corners. It’s the perfect size to put down some jewelry and perhaps a wallet and keep it all contained in the tray. The notebook is very beautiful, lovely deep blue colour, accented with a gold elastic to keep the book closed. It’s so classy looking and sized small enough to be able to be held with one hand easily. This entire box is really well packaged and the manner in which everything is packed inside, makes the gifts present so well to the recipient.

Really nicely put together set. The finishes on the leather tray are precise, mug has a good weight to it, the cards are clever. Nice set, especially for someone who is for example not keen to do things. My Dad is older and he sometimes has no stamina or will to do or go, which is sad. This will hopefully help him and be a bit fun to do while pushing him forward. Keep in mind the whole gift is a bit heavy! So if you are flying out with it or whatever remember that :).

This is a small gift basket for men. It contains a mug, notebook, a box of 12 treat suggestion cards, and a faux leather storage container, and it all comes in a nice box for gifting.
The mug is a large heavy ceramic mug. It is nicely crafted and has a large handle. The notebook is hard covered with a gold elastic bungie strap to hold it closed. The notebook pages are good quality paper. The small box of suggestion cards allow you to select a suggestion once a month for treats to last you a year. The faux leather storage container lays flat for storage itself, but has snaps at the corners to allow it to quickly become a square tray.
The box is a nice small gift idea tailored to men. I’m not going to review based on price because that is subjective, but the gift box on its own is nice.
