Have been all of my life. When I recently did some upgrades to the house I had a number of areas where a tool of this nature would have been of great help. I guess my wife was observing my frustrations as this was a holiday gift that I was not even the least bit seeking. Oh I needed one, that is for sure. So when I opened the gift and found this I was actually very pleased. I still have work to do and this will be very helpful. It is designed to actually and precicely mimic the thing that you place it around. Say you have a corner that has a compound curve. Doing the math to deternime how to cut the trim to fit is doable but time consuming. (At least it is for those of us that do not do it every day) Just take this and push it into place until it bottoms out. Lock it in place and remove. There you will have the exact duplicate of the needed cuts. And so much time has been saved in the process.

Comes boxed with the device and a number of spare pieces for replacing should any of the sliding parts be broken. I am liking this and have used it on one occasion since recieving it with a number of trim items still needing attantion around the house.

Dad, who is also a tinkering Mr. Make it everything. And he has been so happy. He has made so many new things. And he just cannot stop raving, hes bragged tverybody that would listen about “my daughter got me a contour gauge. It’s just phenomenal” and I think that’s pretty fantastic.
