I love to garden. I think I do pretty darn well, if I do say so myself. My sunroom is filled with beautiful plants, some I've nursed from others who gave up, some from seeds and some purchased that have gone wild with love.

While it was interesting watching the pods of soil "grow" and I truly enjoyed doing this quick project with one of my daughters, the makers of this packed about 1/10 the amount of seeds that SHOULD have been packed. Why skimp on the seeds? Oh, thanks for the kelp pack. Seriously, Dollar General sells more seeds than this for 4 for a $1. I wish I had taken pictures of the seeds in the baby Ziplock bags. It was comical.

What's the point of all of this if you have to use tweezers to get out the seeds in a few packages? NO... I'm not exaggerating. Yes, make sure you're wearing your eyeglasses so you can see the miniscule seeds. It's sitting a sunroom. I meticulously found a balance of water, warmth and sun to get these things going within a couple of days. After that... it's been a slow burn. The only ones that have "done" anything are the Curled Chervil, Rosemary and Basil but even then, it's so sparse, it's sad. The Cilantro started growing well and then it shriveled. As you can see, the Thyme, Lemon Balm and Oregano had about one sprout that has been perpetually stunted. I suppose, you're paying for the baby planter pots?

First off, the presentation of this product was very nice! Neatly packaged, and there were no damage issues.
I started the germination of the herbs on 11/19/21 and within five days, five of the seven herbs sprouted. The rosemary and parsley have yet to sprout due to a longer germination time frame. I didn’t sow the cilantro seeds because I’m not a fan of cilantro.
There is a very well done instruction manual included that is clearly not a Chinese to English translation. Also a comprehensive description of the herbs, their origins and culinary use are in the manual.
One other thing...this requires patience! Most of the seeds are extremely small, and sowing them is a daunting task, if not, surgical. Small tweezers will be your best friend in this endeavor.

I got these for my mom, who just moved into a condo, so she doesn't have room for a garden. These are the perfect size for her kitchen window and the ceramic pots are so pretty. She loved them!
