Purchased this as a gift for a friend who loves hot sauces. He had a blast making a hot sauce to his liking and then sharing it. Great gift.

It’s enjoyable making your own hot sauce, especially if it is with your family or friends. The taste is good just know that it is a messy process. Also know that the smell will travel throughout your house, so make sure to leave windows open if you make it inside.

Can’t rate the ingredients – it will be a gift. All glassware came intact (!) and the box is efficiently packed, making it easy to wrap 😄

There were no recipe cards or recipe book, as promised in the two descriptions shown. There were only four basic recipes in a leaflet. I complained to the manufacturers and they sent me a pdf which contained little more than the few basic recipes that were in the instruction leaflet in the kit, except that, although the recipes had the same names, the quantities of the ingredients are thoroughly different, which is very confusing. What’s the point of having recipes at all if we don’t know which ones to follow? This kit was a birthday present to my autistic son, who loves chilli sauces and relishes, but, due to his handicap, needs to have things straight – not in a muddle like this. There were no testing strips, which were also supposed to be included. For some reason, this kit, according to your description, seems to be made purely with men in mind, but my son’s hands are certainly not large for a man and he can hardly get the the plastic gloves on, they were so small. Altogether, I find this kit very disappointing.

This would be a great gift for anyone who loves hot sauce enough to play around with a lot of flavor combinations to come up with their very own recipe. The ingredients are enough to make several batches of hot sauce, and the recipes are encouraging for anyone raising their own peppers to keep using the kit for more.
