While I haven’t had much time to spend using this karaoke machine – so can’t comment much on battery life – I think it’s going to be a wonderful gift for my boyfriend’s grandchild or ANY kid that loves to sing! It is a bit smaller than it looks in the picture online. I DID notice that the speaker itself isn’t very loud, which is fine. It’s not supposed to have the high fidelity and sound power of other speakers. That being said, the microphone I tested was decent in terms of projection. You can hear yourself singing along over the music, as opposed to being drowned out by it, and I didn’t even test the microphone’s full volume capacity, either. The package comes with two small USB-C chargers – one for the microphones and the other for the portable speaker. It is pretty simple for an adult to use – though I would highly recommend reading over the instruction manual so you can best understand and use all the features included. You can easily connect it to your music source via Bluetooth. This model even includes a TF Card slot – meaning if you have a micro SD card with music on it, you can opt to insert it into the machine and play music from the card over using Bluetooth. The speaker DOES have a 3.5mm headphone input, so your child can enjoy the music without being TOO loud! Another interesting feature that comes with this karaoke machine are “Magic Sound Effects”. There are four different types which alter your voice from normal to DEFINETLY NOT NORMAL AT ALL with the hit of a button. While I didn’t enjoy the Magic Sound Effects, I’m sure many kids out there will. Don’t worry, you can easily change it back to the “normal” factory presetting if you or your child DON’T want to sound like an alien being with bizarre pitches. The microphones also have five different echo settings. I certainly see the benefit in using some echo over the Magic Sound Effects, which can be adjusted easily for intensity. Again, take the five minutes or so to read the instruction manual included, so you can best explore, understand, and successfully use all the different features. They are not difficult to master, but unless you know what button to hit and how, you’re going to be at a loss. While I don’t have an iPhone or iOS knowledge, I did notice that iOS music is not supported with the Magic Sound Effects feature. I’m not 100% sure WHAT that means, but just wanted to give a heads up to anyone whose tuned into the iOS world. I would’ve LOVED to have something like this when I was younger and am looking forward to seeing how my boyfriend’s grandchild takes to it. The small size of the speaker is perfect for kids – not too heavy unlike some other karaoke machines I’ve used. It’s awesome that there are two wireless microphones – something anyone my age whose had a karaoke machine never got to enjoy. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun for my boyfriend’s child. The sound isn’t good. Don’t recommend this. Was disappointed. Thankfully my 3 year old granddaughter thought it was great.

This is an easy-to-use karaoke unit, more like a “toy karaoke” unit. I have the hot pink (adorable!) and it would make a great gift for an aspiring young singer (or two, it comes with two microphones). My unit and the two mics came already charged (although I couldn’t tell how much of a charge they had) so I could use it right out of the box. Easy-peasy: turn the main box on, pair it with your Bluetooth device to play your favorite songs to sing along to, and turn on each mic. That easy! No glitches when I paired mine. The mics only have to be turned on, there is no pairing sequence for them. I love the lights on the box. If no music is playing, the unit can still work as a PA unit/voice amplifier when speaking into the mics. Each mic has its own volume control so you can find a good level to mix vocals with the music.

The sound quality is surprisingly good for a toy. I think the kids won’t care that this isn’t JBL sound, but the grown-ups will know it's just a toy and just leave it at that. There are several modulated sound effects that I think would be a hoot for a kid but may get annoying for the grown-ups. I could not really tell a difference in the “removing vocals” function, which I think is supposed to turn a regular song to sound more like an instrumental karaoke track with minimal vocals. There is an echo function to make it even more “karaoke-like.”

So, when the Barbie songs come up non-stop, I would’ve wished this came with earplugs for the grumpy grown-ups. LOL.

It's still too soon to note battery life, but this checks a lot of boxes for me.

Ordered this karaoke machine for my daughter, who put it to use immediately! I must warn you the speaker is small, but the lights more than makeup for it. You can carry the speaker by a small handle (not sure on how durable it is) nd the microphones automatically connected. The sound is not excellent but does what it needs to be needs to do, which is entertain kids & let them sing their lungs out, all without fighting over a microphone.

This is a fantastic little unit as a gift or to be given to a child, The sound quality is average, features and ease of use are great. My 9-year-old daughter loved it, it is not great for an adult karaoke party however for kids to play around and have some fun this was fantastic. Battery life was good, lasted a good amount between charges and sound quality was great for a kid but not so great for an adult.

Kids love it. The volume is a little hard for small kids to understand how to use so prepare for loud singing!
