Bought 2 as gifts for a teenage girl and a stepdaughter. Both liked them.
They look handmade and look very nice.

I’m very skeptical about things like this that say adult size, and I was leery about believing the positive reviews since there were definitely mixed reviews overall. I was expecting a cheap feeling lap blanket that was much smaller and less well-made than the pictures. Boy was I wrong! It was definitely long enough and wide enough to fully cover me up to my arm pits, and the color and quality are great! I was sad I bought it as a gift exchange because I wanted to keep it!! The downside is that while well-made, it is thin. By that, i mean it wasn’t made with thick yarn. Of course it had the open wave that’s shown in the pictures, but the yarn itself was thin, so i don’t imagine it being too warm. That being said, if you’re looking for a light blanket that’s really cute, I highly recommend this!

This is the third of these mermaid tail blankets that I now have, and the muted multicolor off white of this makes it my favorite. It's pretty and girly without being ridiculous, and soft and very comfy to wear. Of course, where the tail tapers to the fin forces you to shuffle like Morticia Addams should you decide to try to walk in it, but honestly, I find that to be some of the childlike fun that wearing this brings me.

Great for snuggling up on the couch to Netflix and chill on chilly days! Made as well as any of the others I have, launders up well, and very cozy and snuggly on. The only thing that'd make this/these better is a neck strap to wear it halter-style and keep it in place (especially since the plush one I bought with a neck strap didn't prove anywhere near as durable as the crocheted/knit ones I have).

My manager loved this as a secret Santa gift. It did have a little smell but a quick 15 minute wash in the washer on delicate helped solve that. It felt nice when I had it and she loved waddling around in it at work. It is definitely a mermaid, the tail just might be smaller than you’d think, as well ask you can’t really keep it out like it is unless positioned to do so when laying down.
Over all it’s a nice blanket that makes a great present.

The blanket is not very thick, and the color does not match anywhere near what they advertised for blue. Still a cool idea and it was shaped as expected.

The right price for this cute mermaid tail blanket. I got the white/rainbow color. It's crochet, so the knit isn't super tight, and there are larger holes for part of the design. But it's still warm for my legs and feet.

The back is partially open, and the bottom half of the tail is slim, but the fabric stretches a lot. I'm 5'4" and 250 lbs. and am able to fit my legs in the blanket all the way down to the opening at the bottom. I can pull the blanket up to my armpits. It's not big enough to cover my whole body. Designed for waist-down coverage. The bottom is open, but you can't walk in it. The bottom is not elastic and doesn't stretch.

Wash before first use. It's not machine washable, but I did it anyway on the delicate cycle and dried on delicate setting, and it was fine. It was a risk I was willing to take. Turned out soft and fluffed all the way in the dryer because it was vacuum packed for shipping and arrived very squished.

It's a novelty. Definitely something I'd recommend for a teenage daughter or niece. But I'm a woman in my 30s, and I like it. Nice selection of a few different colors. Could be a little more variety or maybe an option to customize.

The blanket smells HORRIBLE so put it in the dryer with a dryer sheet. The smell fades away immediately :)

It's very well made, super soft, and perfect for keeping a rambunctious kitten from biting your toes.
